The osteoglossum bicirrhosum, also known as the Dragon Fish, whose strange head reminds one of mysterious dragons, is from South America.
These days, most of these fish sold commercially are bred in Asia.
The aquarium must be quite big (min 3000 litres for juveniles) ; the water, preferably, freshwater and have a pH close to neutral ; the temperature of the water must be between 24-28°C.
It will move around at the surface on the lookout for living prey (little fish and/or insects).
Available this week at 10/12cm in size.
